The 190 is the Flug Werk replica and I don't think they have rebuilt the BMW engine too. Nice link, thx!

Yes I think you're right about the 190, it does give you some idea of how it may have sounded though.

Beautiful! Thx. Just watched the first download (109). Did you notice at the top of his loop you can see the wing slats extended and then retract? I'd love to see and hear one in real.
Once again, thx for the link. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

Wow - that was a great link. Thanks. I really hope that when BoB arrives, they can mimic the sounds I just heard from those clips in the game. Man - amazing how alive, intense the engines sound in those clips compared to what we currently have in Il2. The sounds alone would add volumnes to immersion factor.

Now thats a link for my favourites folder just to see what else he puts on there...thank you for posting this.

Its a shame the recording of the Lancaster wasnt very good, but the sound of the B25 made up for it, absolutely stunning, made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/59.gif.
Now just imagine sounds like these in BOB...hehe...we can but dream http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Watching the 190 fire up was like watching a child being born . I also would like to know if the horn came from the plane. If so that sucks because it sounded like a Peugot Le Car!!

Amazing sounds. Reminds of the first time I heard a Shires horse neigh in real life!

There`s a real THROATINESS to the engines that FB simply doesn`t have. Fb really does sound tinny by comparison...

Wonderful site. Added to my favorites.

The in flights of the 109 and P51s sent chills up and down my spine. I so wish we could have more authentic sounds in this sim, it would complete the experience.

However, I agree with the earlier poster, if I'm not mistaken, the Flug Werk 190 is using a Russian radial; in what must be the irony of ironies.

In any event, thanks again.

Nothing quite beats actually being there. None of those sound recordings, despite how good they are for an internet video, properly get across what you actually hear when one of those starts up. That Firefly actually makes a heck of a noise when it starts and gets turning. I think the mic on most cameras don't get that kind of sound range.

Great link, thanks! Throatiness, yes, that's what I remember of the sound of P-51's starting up, taxiing and taking off at Kissemmee, FL. Went to the museum and airfield there. 3 51's were doing maintenance checks and flights. They also had a 2-seater for rides. I have the pamphets somewhere.

I see that they had a bit of a problem keeping the radial on the Fw 190 going.
But this link has some Rare footage of some Great Aircraft... Prop & Jet.

lol, they ve had so many dl s,the site is down.

After it was refeuled i climbed in.With many manipulations the mechcanics started the turbines.I followed their actions with the greatest of interest. The first one started quite easily.the second caught fire.In no time the whole engine was on fire.Luckily as a fighter pilot i was used to getting quickly out of the cockpit. The fire was quickly put out.The second plane caused no trouble - Adolf Galland (first time in a ME262)

As far as i know the FlugWerk 190 uses a chinese engine, which has some connections to the original BMW.

And that horn certainly does not come from the airplane http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
