Just a bit of change about the old and boring .50 debate.

What about the possibility to turn all the tracers off for .50 ..? In most guncam I see, and from what i heard and read, lot of pilots didnt want any tracers, and just like to see the impacts on tgt to guess the shoot was good.

You already have plenty of bullets in between 2 group of tracers.. SO i guess it is not that complicated to tweak.

if its not possible
besides that, it would be cool if tracers from right and left wing would be shooting tracers NOT synchronized .. there they are and it looks much too regular to be real.

thats it. let me know what you think-

Well, one version of FB (sorry, cannot remember which patch) did do that- particlarly with weapons mounted in groups like our old friend the M2 you got a more even stream of tracers. It got changed back to how it is now the following patch.

As to historical accuracy on the one...... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif

"As weaponry, both were good, but in far different ways from each other. In a nutshell, I describe it this way: if the FW 190 was a sabre, the 109 was a florett, or foil, like that used in the precision art of fencing." - G√ľnther Rall

Look Noobie, we already told you, we don't have the Patch!

i dont think its possible for this engine. Having the last few rounds as tracers pilots found as a bad idea becuase it let your enemy know when you were out of ammo.

I wish we had a way to adjust the colors of the tracers tho. I think they are way to bright colors and can be seen across the map.

Good thread - switchin' to tracers...

I've got a one question for one that may aswer: We have a lot of different colour tracers (blue, light blue, yellow, green..). I don't know anything about this subject, so I dunno if they were so different (colour) in RL?

Why not model tracers like CFS3 does http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/1072.gif
(what did I just write http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif)

Thats one of the things CFS models nicely - You see a couple of tracers fly away with no smoke trail.

Sorry guys about using the C word http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/cry.gif.

Heads-on firing was not a safe practice after all ?
Jussi Huotari: It was not specially recommended‚.....
And later, as the Russians were armed with 20mm cannons, it was unwise to meet them heads-on

Yes, they were different colors. Depending upon the composition of the tracer chemical (phosphorus or magnesium, I forget what material or in what measures).
