I see in the control section an ability to bind a key to adjust supercharge stage. Is this automatic on the 38 or should a key be assigned?

I think on the 51D it is automatic. Same for the 38?

Especially so with the P38. As with the P47, I believe the turbosupercharger maintains constant manifold pressure all the way up to critical altitude. In effect his is like an 'infinite stage' supercharger, whereas the P40e uses a single stage single speed, the P40M is a single stage 2 speed, the P51 is a 2 stage 2 speed, and the Ta152h uses a 2 stage 3 speed supercharger. In short (as stated above) it don't require you to mess with it.

right - it is automatic - no need to bind a key
