From one of the members of M.G dev team, translation:

"Majority of the planes that included in add-on was made by enthusiasts. Of course, we are not going to tell them what to do. In the same time turning down completed models of the planes when they correspond to our quality/accuracy requirements wouldn`t make any sense.
When it comes to mathematical model of jet planes we have Me262 which exists in IL2 for quiet some time. Therefore, it does not cause any difficulties to add another jet in the game."

Make what you want outta above statement.

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

Too bad they don't have more influence here...it'd silence some voices on a more regular basis.

But it does cause problems adding a much requested twin engine medium bomber(proberly from the il2 days) with much reference material and many flying examples(read B-25). Oh and look forward to more jets. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

In othwer words if you want another plane in the sim find a modeller who can do it to the quality standards set by 1C. Once that is done for them to NOT include it in the sim wouldnt make sense. Can you say P-47 N? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif They have been doing jets for some time since the 262...so to add physics characteristics for jets is not a stretch. Can you say maybe a nudge up to Korea? I can dream cant I?

Very intersting.

Rumor fuel.

I dont like jets personaly, from a gamers prespective, I'd rather have a sopwith camel.

It's open season indeed! Whatever we model, they accept. Cool!

Personally, after flyable Spit LF IXc's, I'd love to see the Mosquito, Ju-188, AR-234, and some run of the mill transport planes like the Ju-290, Walrus & Hudson - and why not? A Sunderland. Something that gives the impression of a populated airspace.

There are SO many ww2 planes still missing so why bother with the post-war planes??? And seems to me they should fix the me262 before adding any more jets anyways, now it doesn't even hold its own against some prop planes http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif

More, older, weaker, is my wish. Starting resemble crimson skies now http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

A slightly longer version:

Because the core FM for jets has already been developed for the Me262, the development time necessary to add new jet FM's is not enough to significantly impact on efforts to add other aircraft.

Edit: forgot a very important "not" in there somewhere http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
