I have a question: What is that little weird-looking ..thing, just left of the A6M5's gunsight? The one wich moves aside just as you start game? Can it turned ON in somewhere?

I think you mean iron sight beam and ring like other planes have it in case reflector gunsight broke.

Iron back-up gunsight. Incase the yellow one doesnt work/gets shot to pieces, the iron one can be used as a backup gunsight. Dunno if you can switch it up when you need it.

I think the view forward is somewhat obstructed by the complicated reflector gunsight.

shall be judged: and with what
measure ye mete, it shall be
measured to you again.

Thanks! Now I have to just bind the key for it, but I don't know what it is... There isn't any "backup gunsight" control.. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif But I think it would be waste to animate it's moving, but no giving the controls for it.. Perhaps the final 1.2...

Since this game models damaged gunsights, I would have thought you could hit Ctrl G or whatever and swing up the iron sight.

This is one item that would not only add immersion, but would actually be of benefit. I've had my reflector sight shot up a number of times when my plane was still combat capable otherwise.

Im sorry, this might be adumb queastion, but what do you mean with that Ctrl-G? I have changed my controls so many times so that I could feel comfortable with them, so I have quite sure changed that, so what is that Ctrl-G?

The backup ironsights were not intended for gunsights that got "shot up." They were there simply in case the bulb that illuminates the reflector sight failed. Burn-out light bulbs are not in FB.

I've often wondered about these iron-gunsights in the aircrafts, are they at all for use if the pre-head-up-display-gunsight get shot to pieces.
It would be nice if we were able to, like the gunsight-view in the Bf109, to switch view and look through the iron gunsight.
