The Norwegian captions to the pictures read:

1: The German bomber breaking the surface of Jonsvatnet (Jons Lake) Thursday afternoon.

2: The 96 year old pilot of the plane, Arthur von Kasimir follows the operation.

3: Arthur G. Johansen remembers the plane well from his boyhood, when it was parked on the frozen lake.

4: The rising took several hours.

5: The black cross that German planes were marked with is just poking up over the surface.

6: The rising continued well into Thursday evening.

7: The rear fuselage is above water. The wing may be seen below the surface.

They are making a film about the salvage operatian and the resturation. The pilot (von Kasimir) was brought in to comment. He flew the He 111 before the plane got stuck in the ice on Jonsvatnet (I think one wheel fell through the ice) and was abandoned. I'm looking forward to seeing it!
