I figure we have the Tirpitz and in RL Lancasters ended up sinking her soooo... it only seems realilistic.

Now before you all get off on a rant, I was just poking around to see if I could find the old Lancaster that used to sit on pedastals in front of my home town airport (Calgary AB. btw GO FLAMES GO) and ended up finding this site and artical.

http://www.lancastermuseum.ca/tirpitz.html

I thought it was a good read and just wanted to share. Lancaster in game or not, this is the best dang sim game going!!

Oleg/1C keep kickin ****!

Oh yeah and one more thing before I go..

GO FLAMES GO!!!! YYYYEEEEEEHHHAAAAAWWWWWW!

The question is not in finding a plane to add, it's in finding an artist to make the plane model to MG spec. I would love to see the Lanc here, but unless someone comes forward right now, I wouldn't hold my breath. However, I hope the Lanc makes it into BoB.

Hey DarkH.. was not complaining.. was more of a joke rant than anything just to get the link seen. :P

I love every plane (even the 500 yaks and 109s) http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif and if there were only 3 planes total I would still love it.

If there are no Langs its not a problem in any way shape or form to me. Honestly I just love the game.

I know a Norwegen who as a boy witnessed the
sinking of the Tirpitz. His account held me spellbound whilst in a Pub in a small fishing village while on hollidays in NZ.On returning
home I checked his account on the internet to
find his story checked out.
I go to NZ fishing every year and make sure I
seek him out.His stories are facinating. He states that while telling his story in Australia a stranger confirmed it to his audience stating that he was the tail gunner of the second Lanc. Can't confirm this but,boy can he tell a good http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif yarn.great stuff.

It's a pity no UK modeller has come out with a working model of the Lancs, but I guess a 4-engine bomber takes up a lot of polygons and loads of time...

Actually there do exist 3D models of the Lanc, just not for FB (See www.nightbomber.com (http://www.nightbomber.com))

Actually the Target for Tonight Lancaster is being redone for Forgotten Battles. Eddie from Target for Tonight is at the Netwings Designers forum under the name of Ed and work has been carried out on the Lancaster. Not sure on the current status of it as Ed is currently working on the Swordfish I believe

Thank you Wizard.

It's a pity the Il-2 Database is not kept a bit more up-to-date.
