Hi Oleg
Firstly thanks for a great sim, I've always liked the La-5 and La-7 so it was great to see a sim that does them justice. I admire your dedication to bringing us such detail and accuracy.

A lot of folk out here are really pleased that we will getting a Spitfire or two in the expansion pack. Gibbage's Spitfire V looks really great. With the Spitfire V available it would be a small step to the Seafire LIII (and the FIII and LIIC).

3D model changes from Spitfire V would be:
=Four blade prop (same as Spitfire Mk IX)
=Six stub exhausts (same as Spitfire Mk IX)

Key flight model changes would be:
=Merlin 55M engine (Combat rating of 1,585hp at 2,750ft- power vs altitude curves are readily available).
=Small weight and CG changes (also well documented).

Cockpit changes (I'd be happy for these to be ignored):
=Arrestor hook release (I'd also be happy for wing fold and arrestor hook to not be functional and only represented on the skins.)
=Gate differences on the throttle control (55M was gated at take-off boost, going past that over-ride the normal boost control!)

Skins:
=Give me a template and I'll do lots for you.

Campaigns:
=Fits with Normandy, Pacific islands, Arctic, Tirpitz, Med etc.

The Seafire LIII would be a fun plane to add for low level action.
= Speed 533km/hr at SL, 576 at 1828m.
= Climb (combat power) 1,314m/min (4,310 ft/min) at 1828m.

While it would be great to have the hook and a carrier to land on, I'm sure most people, especially Brits, Kiwis (lots of them flying Seafires including my father), Aussies, French, Irish, and Burmese(!)) would be happy with just the plane.

Oleg, I hope you're in the position to consider this seriously.

Thanks

They've been very busy, but maybe one will pick the Seafire up. Worth a shot....

Gibbage has done several Spits. He is the man to talk to. But Gibbage is a professional, and is paid for his work. I don't know if he will do it without a contract with Maddox.

Just a thought.
