After a few months off, I downloaded the patch to AEP and went online at hyper lobby. The zero 21 is awesome! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif Killed a couple of LA 7s and Yak 3. The handeling is alot more challenging than before patch. The roll rate is atrocious, but the turn rate is still there. It overheats too easy I think, but no ill effects Ive observed. The type 99s are I think over modelled as One hit took the wing off the Yak 3 at about 150m.

Seems pretty realisitc now that the ammo is reduced to 60rpg.

What do you guys think??

thanks

I think A6m2 is good modelled. Only roll rate at slow speed should be little better and shouldn't overheat as much like in FB. A6m5 should have little better roll rate than A6m2 because has shorter wing tip.

Does handle well. Have not checked the max speed yet. It was off about 40km/hr in AEP...

Yeah it's 1 of my favourites. Though I'm not sure how you're managing to overheat the Zero, try flying with the cowl flaps open as I hardly ever get any overheating at all. It's 1 of the few early War aircraft that can take on a Spitfire V and win (especially in a turnfight).

I always start with rad closed for more speed. After I get the overheat warning, I open them up.....

The Zekes are a blast to fly http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Although, as far as FM is concerned, didn't the A6M2's Nakajima NK1C Sakae 12 engine have trouble flying inverted/pushing negative G's?

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature, and has no chance of being free unless made or kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." - John Stuart Mill
