No, we decided to give you flyable J7W1 Shinden and P-26 instead, since they're really much more important aircraft than some FU4 or whatever http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Who's ever heard of a whatchamacalit, Privateer or Pirate or whatever its nickname was - not like it was the most major American fighter of the Pacific or anything like that.

Good, then we wouldn't have to see the F4U-1C with the cannons. Hint, hint http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Of course not! Who needs cannons when you can have machine guns.

You guys are forgetting, we need to use our 1911s out of the open cockpit of our Stearman bipes. Way more important than some... FU2? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I hope all you Corsair fans (and I'm one of 'em) realize that if modelled correctly, will be very difficult to land on an aircraft carrier. The plane simply does not like to land at all, especially when empty.

P-26 - Yay!

And with regard to the Corsair's gear problems - yes the gear was too bouncy. Most of NZ's Corsair losses were due to landing accidents. And the NZ loss statistics were typical of the type.

IIRC the oleos were fixed in later models.

I have info of 191 sumthing Corsairs destroyed due to enemy action, compared to 900+ in accidents. I wonder why this thing was nicknamed Ensign Eliminator?

O, how I want to hold you,
To feel your breath
And hear your laughter in my ears.
To look into your eyes
And see myself in there.
Caress you with my lips.
To hold your hands in mine
And find the hidden smile in your dimple
That makes you irresistible
And stops the breathing in my chest.
To be with you when you are weeping,
To wipe away the tears and take away the sorrow.
To watch you while you are sleeping
Like there is no tomorrow.

And with a tender kiss to wake you up.
