You realize, of course, that every plane in this poll is a very late war plane that SHOULD be a worldbeater against all other earlier ones. These aren't the planes likely to be overmodelled.

Stiglr, you realize of course that those are the planes that every second topic in this board is about? I chose to put most often flown planes. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

La-5 standard ('42). It performs as good as, if not better than the La-5F (not FN) which is contradictory to everything I have seen. Way too fast at sea level IMO.

Ki-84 seems awfully good at high altitude and I'm not so sure it was really that fast. I think someone said maybe it is modelled with a different type of fuel or that maybe it should be more of a '45 plane the way it's modelled.

Mig-3U. I think it should be very good at high altitude, but it is great at low altitude. If it performed as good as it does in FB there is no way this plane isn't produced. It's much better than Yak-1B and even better than my first choice for overmodelled, the La-5 standard ('42).

I don't think the Mig3U not going in to production had anything to do with performance, it used the same engine as the IL2, and the IL2 had priority. I also recall Oleg mentioned something about a factory being overrun that supplied parts/materials needed for its construction. In any case what gets produced has everything to do with politics, and very little to do with performance (lets not put real superchargers in the planes we send to the Brits. Hey this FW187 is better than a bf110, but gee, we want it to be multicrewed, oh look it still performs better, oh just cancel it. Gosh, these jets sure are fast, but lets concentrate on piston engine development, etc., etc., etc.).

P-39 and what Kyrule said =)

Russian aircraft require skill to fly.
German aircraft require ten times that skill, and one hundred times the patience!

As I was born in the 70´s and never participate in WW2 and have never flown either a civil or a WW2 aircraft I can´t say if they are overmodeled or not. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

In initial climb rate the La7 murders the 262. Remember, steam catapults on aircraft carriers weren't necessary until the jet age.... Why do you think the 262 needed cover from 190Ds on take off?

There are only 5 options for polls, I can't put anything more that's how software of this board works. For mig3u and p39 create part 2 or something http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Anytime I see a thread that begins "What is the best...?" or "What is the most...?" or What is the worst....? my TROLL ALARM goes off.

Dumb thread, Yay. Do you have any idea how many times these topics have been kicked around on these forums in the past couple of years? Do you really think you're asking an original question?

All the planes from this poll are overmodelled. And in general all russian planes except Yak1/1b/9 are overmodelled in turn performance. It's still not fixed though it was reported from the very beginning. At least the climb of russian planes was corrected (more or less).

Whats so Overmodelled about the P-39? I thought it was pretty much fixed. And why isn't everyone flying the thing if it is such a hot performer? I see the Ki 84 and the 109G2 infesting tons of servers. And why are there not any German aircraft in the poll. Its funny how they were left out. LIKE THE 109G2. Give me a break. I bet when we get the spit, that plane will be called overmodelled too. More comp for the german birds

Seems to me, with the fairly even results thus far, that all the planes are modeled pretty good. Otherwise, there should be a more clear-cut winner. I think what you can gather by the vote result is "What Planes do you Fear the Most".
