I transformed this yak9 to a project we have in mind.

what would inprouve the yak 9-U to the max in all aspect.???
i would like to have a serious input since this project can actually realy be built..

I'm not talking about the game but the real thing.

I read in other aviation forums i visit that russia is selling freshly built yak9 and yak3s remade becuase they still have the original factories and tooling from wwii, it also provides jobs for russia which is in pretty bad financial shape.

I seen they go for around 60-80 grand many collectors are buying them since a vintage mustang cost from 250,000k to make a new modern one it would cost more then 350-560k to retool a factory and aluminum is very expensive. Plus all the new FAA guidelines

Still its cheaper the some of the vintage ground restorations i seen which go into the millions

Do you mean to say that you're really asking for aircraft design/development advice from a bunch of strangers who play a game? And that that pic you posted is your effort so far?

Can you please post why:

You have only included a profile of the aircraft
What the changes and additions you have made are supposed to do
What you WANTED the changes and additions to do
What this proposed aircraft's mission would be/should have been ("Be Best" is a little vague)
And what makes you think that this project can succeed.

I am not making fun, I am seriously wondering. This has all the earmarks of an incredibly ambitious plan, that borders on the absurdly optimistic and you don't know what you're in for.

Some wheels would probably help a lot.

Just an idea a rush like we say jargon design.
(it's good to listen and then decide)
It's a start.
The Change is to make a Yak9-U more modern like if the yak9 were out of the U-S factories, more slick.

i know it sound crazy but i want to present this rush idea to my friend.
Just last week we talk about it and it can happen to his personal ( race ready ) Yak9-UM.
He has enough yak's to make a proto.
He thought about the spitfire cockpit( I don't like it ) but i think the bubble chopted canopy would be better ( for the view etc ).

I just can do it in 2 d and i wish i could do in 3 d .. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Looks good. . . less negative pressure aft of the canopy is a wise move, perhaps you could add a small turtledeck to it also. How about a NACA duct instead of the overhead scoop. . .and more sweep on the leading edge of the vertical stab!

Vroom vroom!
