Heads-on firing was not a safe practice after all ?
Jussi Huotari: It was not specially recommendedÔ.....
And later, as the Russians were armed with 20mm cannons, it was unwise to meet them heads-on

LOL, classic!

Talk about a one-in-a-million shot. I wonder what happened to the bird http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif

I saw this on Late Show with David Letterman a few months back. The guy that threw that ball is apparently the highest payed baseball player ever!

Guess some have to pay a price for other's success!

Randy Johnson must be the master of deflection shots. I would not want to meet him on HL lol. He gets paid very well but he is not the highest paid player. That title goes to Alex Rodriguez (now with the Yankees) for 10 years - $252 million.

those salaries are destroying the game as surely as that fastball destroyed that unlucky bird.

I very much despise the ****ing morons who throw that sort of money around for something as one hundred percent completely and totally pointless as baseball, or any others of these children's games that far too many people mindlessly and foolishly obsess about.

Even if they didn't do something useful with it, they could at least give it to me, or even spend it on something halfway important that is worth mroe than sports. Why, it would be far, far better for them to simply donate it to game developers under the condition that they use it soley to make better games. Then we could have some replicas built and tested. Ah, but I'm dreaming again. And rambling... My point is that sports blow, or rather people who obsess over them do.
