Looks a lot like a FW-189 to me. I'm no expert, though.

Fw-189. The Russians called it "The Frame" and got a bonus for shooting them down.

Ummmm...yeah, I was talking about the model! Well, OK, I wasn't. I'm going to say that it's another 189, though. There's really no way to know for sure, so why not?

A-3 then? Do not pick on her, she could carry 4 x 50 kg http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Could you believe, this plane was obsolete for swift maneuverin in Northern Front only late spring 1944. Though slow, there were tree pairs of eyes inside.

Its gotta be the P-38. I think the next closest is the Fokker G.1 Jachtkruiser

The model's gotta be a 189, the wings stick out too far from the engine nacelles too far to be a Lightning...

cheers

That is, in fact, an Fw-189 aircraft in the picture, as well as the model in the crewmans hand.

What? How could anyone possibly think that's a P-38?? There were a few 38's with a bubble nose, but they had a solid glass bubble rather than what we see on this FW-189. Plus, the diameter of the fuselage is entirely too large to be that of a P-38.

[EDIT] Ok, I guess the P-38 comments were only in reference to the model the crewman holds. You guys were scaring me for a second there!

I like this plane very much! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
It has bigger wingspan then Pe2 for example!
I´ve started with skinning, but haven´t any free time during the last few weeks.

Yes, it seem that the model in the hands of the pilot is a Fw189 as well, it can be guessed by the size and relative position of the central nacelle...
