From the Just Flight site :

The Just Flight Battle over Europe "Royal Air Force" update provides extra features for Battle over Europe users using the new aircraft and features available with the ACES Expansion Pack.

The features added by Battle over Europe "Royal Air Force" update are:-

- RAF campaign for Normandy and Ardennes, with Spitfire IX or Mustang C, includes AI (artificial intelligence) B-25 bombers.
- P-38 fighter-bomber career for the USAAF.
- Me-163 career for the Luftwaffe.
- Ju-87D5 night bomber career for the Luftwaffe.
- BF-110G3 interceptor career for the Luftwaffe.
- An Africa campaign for NGen using a new online map.
- New models of P-51 are used in the USAAF career.
- RAF career uses a RAF speech and graphics pack.

{my comments now} The RAF campaign folder has OFFICIALLY http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif been unlocked ! With ranks, medals, and voices I presume. Oh I forgot the article also says you have to have the following :

Forgotten Battles 1.0
Battle Over Europe
Aces Expansion Pack
AEP patch 2.01

installed in that order, I guess.

Yes i had the Boe cd in when trying to patch boe up.
I have a oter computer which i use as server in differnt games and have boe also on that, the funny thing is it worked and installed it self with out no problems on the computer.
Both computers use original files no nocd or other stuff exept Il2 stab, i get this message unable to find a valid installation of Boe.
Thats bull****,,,

Hi,

You have to have the CD in?

Myself and a few others had a complimentary copy of BoE for contributing to the RAF voice pack...but we don't have an original CD.

Any workarounds?

Cheers,
Norris

Well, this update finally was the one that convinced me to order BOE. I was hoping for it to show up on stores here in the US, but it looks like it won't be happening anytime soon. So as not to miss out on all the fun, especially now that BOE has an RAF camapign too, I just ordered direct from the JustFlight website.

I hope I don't have installation problems too.

I installed it. It's very good. I can't help but think we should have got all this with AEP though.

Thanks for the heads-up, Capt. Knew this was coming, but hadn't checked Just Flight since the patch. Downloaded and installed the patch without any glitches. I should have some time tonight to start one of the campaigns...although I'm far from finishing the original BoE Campaigns.

This sim has so many (good) things going on at once -- opportunities to create, download and fly missions/campaigns and tailored skins -- it's tough to stay ahead of the curve. Great problem to have!

Does this mean that BoE uses all the new planes included with AEP? I have held off buying BoE because a lot of folks around here said it didnt support many planes and the campaign doesn't assign the right planes to the right missions.

Yikes, just went over the justlflight and looking at the pics remembered another reason for not getting BoE yet. Are the escort missions acutally playable? I can't imagine having all those B-17s, escorts, interceptors, and ground objects in one missions and the frame rates staying up. I have a decent rig: P4p800, P4 2.8C, 1 Gb pc3200, 9700 Pro(upragding the a X800Pro or a 6800GT), could I actually play this thing?

Your rig is close to mine (2.6 Ghz, 1 G SRAM, 9700 Pro) and it flies smoothly, good fps. The new patch, BTW, includes all the AEP and 2.01 maps and a/c. Flew the first four RAF missions today; they're dangerous...and fun.

I'm looking forward to trying this tonight.

No mention of the contributors though? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/51.gif

Still at least we were rewarded - (I got a copy of BoE and a signed business card from Oleg himself!)

Hmm, I did not check JF's readme, but I mentioned all major contributors to them (those I know) and at the very least the patch should include RAF radio.txt file mentioning everybody who created the voice pack.

Sorry Starshoy - I haven't installed it yet but I looked at the justflight description - BTW I don't mind my name not being included (I didn't actually do much myself after all http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif)
