It's an MOV movie by ATI. The only really impressive thing that jumped out at me about the graphics was the smoothing and high polygon count of the surfaces. It doesn't really seem comparable to flight sims though. I'll have another look later. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

You can do a lot more with a graphics demo when you do not have to worry about physics calculations.

Yes, but then physics calculations, AI, etc are performed by the cpu, not the graphics card and so adding them in would not detract from the graphical processing power on display in that video.

That teaser movie was complete rubbish. I almost slapped myself into the face, the moment i realised, that i just downloaded some childish **** for 6 year olds with an ATI logo in the corner.

Do not download that thing. Beside that, the graphic doesn't impress me...looks too much like a comic IMO.

What most people dont realize is that sceene is rendered live. As in video game live. So the X800 is capable of rendering a game live with this quality.

My post's are my asumptions only, and in no way linked to fact. I am not an official 1C, Ubi, or Russian Red Rocket spokesman.

http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif Well Geeezee!! I was just sharin!! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif I thought it was pretty nice myself. I can imagine a sim running with that level of detail. ims have come a long way in the last 5 years aand I dont think that level of quality is that far off. 3.5G 64 Bit systems..... who knows... look at the changes just in the last 5 years.

Some people... thanks Gib for your 2 cents..

Spot on Bear.
It still amazes me how much the games have changed in such a short period of time.
5 years ago getting a game/sim like FB/AEP was just a dream. I thought it would be 10 years+ before we seen the likes of what we have today.

What will we have in 5 years time?
I wait with baited breath.

I'm not really that impressed. Graphics are almost as good in the year-old preview of Half Life 2, and that game is gonna have coolest physics engine ever!

Thanks for the link Bear.

I dunno though, the 3DMark demos looked pretty damn sweet on my Radeon 9700 Pro.
While risking upsetting someone, I'd say they easily looked better than this movie.

IMHO at the time HL2 will be out if ever
it will be obsolete if not already , just take a look at farcy wich comes very close and that game is done in a way shorter period and its out for 2 months plus http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

OMG, have you all been castrated? Not one comment about how hot the redhead is modelled? Jeez, right down to the moles and marks on her face! I do, however, think that the cameltoe is undermodelled.

Thanks, Bear. That was awesome!
