First, I cannot download from skins, it keeps asking for a password even though I enter it, and I am logged in.

More importantly, where are the rocket pods that assist with takeoffs. apparently some HE111 were fitted with these pods, 1 on eash wing, to get a heavy bomber in the air ASAP.

I can image what would happen if only one unit ignited .. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif would be fun to watch though! LOL!

Just thinking, were they ever used on fighters? Would be a quick way to get a fighter to interception height for incoming US bombers.

The russians experimented with pulse jets a lot on various fighters. They even fitted a I-15 with pulse jets! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Then several La-7 models were experimented with pulse jets as well... As you can imagine, it was incredibly fast.
