Oleg Maddox says: "But I can tell you that there are finally 29 (not 20 like officially anounced in the past) new flyable aircraft and 7 AI"

So what are they...those extra 9? Maybe we up for a big surprize eh? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

I'm hoping for an A-20 or B-25 (flyables).

The promise of the online campaigns has me excited http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I can't tell you how much I want those, but I'm somehow skeptical. Oleg seemd a little bit surprised (upset?) with the recent increase in requests for additional bombers.

Oleg is not suprized or upset Magister, he made it perfectly clear that M.G. is not doing any more planes. If third party wishes to complete a model and it meets maddox`s requiremnts it will be included. Someone started Pe-2, most important VVS bomber that was missing...and JU88 almost there.. so i say pretty soon we`ll have quiet a few nice additions. Hats off to all 3d mods.

What cockpits have been modeled or shown that aren't included in the "20"? B-25 is one. PBY? Others? If we can collectively come up with this list, we can have some fun speculating. On the other hand, imagine our disappointment if we're wrong.

The secret to success is...managing expectations!

Hope Oleg isn't pulling our leg (American colloquialism meaning:'Making a joke at our expense').

I bet it's just going to be variations of the planes we already know we are getting so maybe a Ta 152 C or something to that effect. I'm happy with what we are getting already, in fact I think we are getting too many as I don't know how I'll get to work in the morning if I have so many planes to fly.

AFAIK the March 12 date has been there for a while on Amazon.co.uk

Hehe to add some oil to the fire, Last year June I officially started work on the Lib (AI) for Luthier, but I couldn't finish it due to other obligations (my job) http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif . I did send him all my stuff I had done up to that point but don't know if it has been dropped or not. Aren't there 29 flyable a/c listed on the German Il-2 website? The links don't always show externals, but there are 29 items listed under "Fliegbar" (please translate, someone). It includes four variants of the P-51, the Bf-110, the Gladiator (J8), three variants of the Ki-84, two A6Ms, and all the others we know about. Didn't see any real surprises.
Any help?

LOL. Well, I know and played 8 new single missions already. Our Slovak team did it for Oleg as the part of the Slovak dynamic campaign add-on. They are based on historical missions by Slovak fighters. I think we did a good job.

And I know at least one of the new 9 flyable planes. It actually got in the game probably just because of my nosy email to Oleg. I just asked him "like what about this one Oleg?". Oleg's first answer: "no time". One minute later the second email: "give me data". So I did. Next day I have received another email: "sorry, simply no time". And then the following day, the final email came: "ok. done. it's flyable.". Funny. What a sport Oleg is!

Of course, I can't tell which plane it is, but you will know once you see it. It's a "nosy" plane. LOL

LOL

A nosy plane? Maybe another Dora or Ta?

That "nosy" plane is Me262/U4 (with the 50mm cannon in the front) http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif What did I win? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Is that a guess or are you telling us you know that for sure? If so,the "big nose" Me-262 would be awesome to fly! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

BBB_Hyperion is right - I-185 model is done, but missing from the list.

That plane was great, but its modeler would spent his time better modeling cockpit to Hs.129, Pe-2 or Tu-2.

"The best fighters I met in combat were the American P-51 Mustang and Russian Yak-9U. Both of those types obviously exceeded all Bf109 variants in performance, including the 'K'. The Mustang was unmatched in altitude performance, while the Yak-9U was champion in rate of climb and maneuverability."

Aren't there 29 flyable a/c listed on the German Il-2 website? The links don't always show externals, but there are 29 items listed under "Fliegbar" (please translate, someone).

"Fliegbar" means flyable...

Could that Big and Bad Mistery Plane be the Avia 534!
Quote: But morale was low and many Avia's deserted to the Soviet side. Three aircraft survived to fight againest the Germans in the Slovak Revot of 1944.
Engine 760/860 Hp Avia buildt Hispano-Suiza.
Max speed 249mph/400kph.
Armament 4 7.92mm modified Vickers machine guns.
This was one of the finest fighters of it's day, having outstanding speed and manoeurabilty, no vices and heavy armament of 4 guns. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

Just shooting in the dark http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

While I'd love a C, the D12/13 etc would be more accessible in game and have a bit more justification to fly I guess.

Besides, it would be finally nice to fly an up gunned Dora, without having to take the TA152 up all the time, considering that it may get a bad rep online.

I want to speculate on this http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif but I don't have the official list of planes in the add-on. Somebody please post a link to the official list of add-on planes. Thanks!

Well, the Ta-152C was in the works and was nearing completion a few weeks ago,IIRC. The thing is,no pit had been started, though I guess it wouldn't be much different than the 190's.
