TrackIR3 vs IR3 Pro?

I went to order the Track IR3 rather hastily. I looked at the info for both 3 and 3 pro but I'm wondering if I should have spent the extra money for pro. Do you think the regular 3 is sufficient enough or is pro that much more better?

You will enjoy either equally.

IF you are concerned with bang-for-buck, Tir2 is actually the better buy.

<pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre">
Specs:
More expensive than the dining set.
Less expensive than the couch.
Smaller than the dishwasher.
Just as noisy as the refridgerator.
Faster than the cars' computer.
Less practical than the car.
Face it, people who put thier computer specs in thier signature are pretty ****ing wierd.

Actually you're fine with your purchase.

TIR2 is really good I know because I own one. However even the slower frame rate version of the TIR3 will be better than the TIR2 for two main reasons. Even though the refresh rate is slighly lower, it offers a much better resolution and it can be played in a well lit room.

Currently I have to use curtains to keep the outside light from freaking out the TIR2. Other than that I'm sure you will be just fine.

I ordered the 3, thought about it, cancelled the order, and bought the 3 Pro.

I figured that even though the 3 would be fine, someday I may need the anti-light sensitivity. So it was worth 20 bucks extra.

Hate to break it to ya Crash but even the TIR2 get the light sensitivity adjustment (camera threshold) not to mention either of the new TIR3's

However, you will appreciate the extra precision of the pro, it's like a frikkin laser pointer now!

/edit: just to clarify, the feature was exposed in the new drivers and only exists in TIR2 or better units.

I would have already if it wasn't for the fact that although I've had it for a couple days I haven't had time to fly with it beyond a couple short QMB's.

First impression: I'm loving how fast it is for responsiveness. Even with the TIR2 there was a slight but noticeable lag at 60 smoothing. With the TIR3pro it's so spot on it's to the point where it's reached USB mice for responsiveness and accuracy.

Still, I haven't given it the full workout so I'll post something soon.
