I have tried to remove the older version of Hardball's Aircraft Viewer but get a message that it can't find a file so removal of the software won't proceed. I have also tried to remover Abobe Photoshop 2 and get a similar message.

I have my hard drive partitioned and keep XP on C drive. Most of my other programes are on D drive. The message says it can't find the file on C drive.

Can I go into the registry and delete the programes there? Or, is there another way to get rid of them?

Many thanks for your help on this.

Sounds like you deleted the folder before using Add/Remove. Have you tride reinstalling Hardball's and then using Add/Remove?

If this does not work then you could download Tweak XP Pro v3.

Just use the trial version.

Run it, click on Utilities, and then click on Registery Cleaner.
Go into the Search Settings, where it says "Wich registry-key to scan", choose All Keys.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for your help Maple Tiger.

I tried re-installing as you suggested but it created a separarte programe. I was able to delete the new install but the old one remained.

I downloaded that registry utility you recommended and was really impressed with it. Although it didn't remove the old viewer programe, it sure cleaned up the registry for me.

Thanks again.

I have just re-read your post and realise I didn't use the search feature. I will try that tonight.

I have the same circumstance as you blairgowrie, the demo Hardball won't uninstall. No big deal here as its getting near reformat time for me (once a year). For now, going to ignore it.

Now that I think of it, it's just about time for me to reformat as well. And now that we have finally got a good set of drivers from ATI, a reformat might clean out any residue from previous drivers.

Thanks Steve for raising this as an option.
