Flying a mission in the Finnish Fighter campaign. I'm wingman to the leader.

We make our first engagement, and quickly route the enemy. One's left, and about five of my squadmates instantly form a conga chasing the remaining Russki. I leave them to it, and head off to engage another bunch of bad guys.

When I finally reach them, I realise some team mates have graciously joined me. Nice!

I dive to engage. Everyone else climbs, and gives no help whatsoever while I tussle with two enemy fighters.

I knock down one of them, but lose aileron control in the process to a stray round from an Il 2 rear gunner. The enemy fighter ditches. My team mates swarm round him and bag my kill.

I decide to try to make it home. Eventually I'm approaching base. My squad mates arrive and smoothly form up on me in ultra close formation, including one bang in front of me. I have no way to request them to break off, get lost, loosen formation - nada. As I approach on finals, two fighters are doing barrel rolls metres in front of me. I have no aileron control whatsoever, remember.

Somehow I land in one piece and no-one else dies.

I'm on the tarmac thinking - what the hell did I do to annoy those guys??

My squad mates will chase it around for hours on hours if I let them. When I see a mig the first thing that hit my mind is,, OH boy this is going to take awhile. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I like the way they shoot you up if you're on the tail of a bandit and they are behind you. So I do the same thing to them. Hey, what goes around, comes around!! I got my right wing shot to hell by a AI on my side just yesterday......sigh....luckily I was able to limp home.
