I'm trying to decide on what direction to go with in a mini upgrade to my box. Funds are an issue.

I have a GeForce4 Ti 4400, pent4 2.0, asus p4t533-c mb with 1024 rambus 800mhz and on board sound.

I have limited funds.

Here is my question: Should I upgrade the vid card ATi RADEON 9800 PRO 256MB DDR or should I push up my 2.0 533mhz to a 3.06 533mhz?

I can only afford to one or the other and frankly pushing up the processor is $50 bucks cheaper.

The vid card I would rate as providing moderate graphics but I must drop water to low and cut out many special effects for decent frame rates.

Thanks all

Buy the video card, CPU wont have much impact on the game as a new GPU. Mind you, custom perfect mode is bugged on catalyst 4.5 but this can be resovled by using older (4.1/4.2 drivers).
My $0.02

You will see a substantial performance increase either way, but I also would be inclined to go with the video card for improved graphics. But I think either choice is fine.
