Okay, I just got AEP (and love it). However, I remember there being mention of certain "surprise" aircraft. I've gone through the aircraft lists and not seen anything that jumps out at me.

The way people were talking about it, I was half-expecting the Batwing or something! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

On that note, weren't we supposed to get a flyable B-25? Or is that still work-in-progress?

The TB~3 with M34 engines and tail gunner was a surprise for me. I didn't realize we would be getting a new, and faster, TB~3. And it has better climbrate too, measured it tonight.

I think the surprise aircraft were buried in the nine or so in the free expansion that will follow AEP, although rumour suggests it's the 262 with the 50mm cannon. Apologies if this is already "in" the AEP, I'm a European and hence have not got my hands on the package yet, merely recycling old rumours. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Not sure when this expansion will be released but it's soon, and won't include the B-25.

However, fear not! The B-25 is coming in mebbe four different flyable versions in the summer, along with several other of the more advanced modelling projects. Hopefully including the Ju88s.

Cheers, Spinner.

That's true - that was a welcome additional, since the TB-3 can actually defend itself a little better. Alose love the SPB variant with the I-16's.

That's news to me Lexx. What is the actual designation of this TB-3 ? Is flyable or AI ? In a campaign or only in QMB ? I'll look for it tonight. Thanks.

QMB, I think there are VVS bomber campaigns out there that start you out in TB~3---none written since the new AEP TB~3 version though.

M17 engines powered the original TB~3. M34 came next and was slightly faster (try it). By 1936 they had newer versions able to push 300km/hr. That is FAST for a TB~3. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif But we don't have those.

Odd, you didn't mention FMB. Try it. Also, make sure you know multiple engine management and the (confusing) key settings (remap them for your taste) or have multiple engine management Disabled.

So you mean it can CLIMB period? The original variant climbs slower than Rosie O'Donnell up 10 flights of stairs. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/88.gif
