So I start at one end of the barges and take out the enemy and scan for cargo... nothing there. I see that there is one cargo available to mark and it is at the far end of the string of barges. I go and kill all the enemy between me and the cargo and scratch my mark on said cargo... THEN EVERY BARGE THAT I HAVE ALREADY PASSED BY SHOWS THERE IS CARGO I SHOULD HAVE MARKED... with only seconds left on the clock. MASSIVE FACEPALM

Seriously Ubisoft... Go back to programming school. This is moronic coding for a 21st Century game.

It really should be...

1. BARGE LEAVES DOCKS
2. ALL CARGO AVAILABLE FOR MARKING

Not

1. ONLY ONE CARGO AVAILABLE FOR MARKING
2. ONCE CARGO MARKED IT SHOULD UNLOCK ALL THE REST OF THE CARGO.

SMH... Spock would be apoplectic if he played AC Syndicate. THIS. IS. NOT. LOGICAL. CAPTAIN!

Seriously, the programming logic in this game is laughable. You can attack someone and just go upstairs and hide behind some grills... still in full sight of the chasers... AND THEY GIVE UP. Conversely you can hide on the other side of a bunch of hay on a barge and they can see you clearly as if the barge wasn't there.

All this game needs to be epic is gameplay that makes sense. Dial back the response from the NPCs like the Police at least. The Blighters I can understand attacking but not the Neutrals. For example I helped one of my drunk crew in one mission and instead of putting my arm round his shoulder and helping him that way the devs couldn't be bothered to code it in so you had to "kidnap" him... and the cops then SHOT THE GUY I WAS HELPING. BAD. FREAKIN. LOGIC. CODE.

The hiding in crowds programming that worked in earlier versions of AC is also messed up in Syndicate. I bumped into another person (well actually he bumped into me) and suddenly cops attacked me and tried to kill me FOR BUMPING SOMEONE'S ELBOW!!!! The reaction in the game is so over the top that the top is in outer freakin space....

God.... I sooooo want to like this game but there is so much that should not have escaped Alpha let alone Beta and absolutely not gone gold that I want to scream.

Don't get me started. It sometimes seems that every single mission in the game has some problem, from a minor annoyance to something that completely breaks the mission. I want to like this game, but every mission seems like an exercise in frustration.

Wow, lot's of anger.
I've had maybe one glitched side mission, shame to hear you have had issues OP.
I find this game alongside ACII and Black Flag as one of the better ones.

It's not anger, it's frustration. And it is a good game, but it's a good game that has some game-breaking glitches, especially if you're the kind of player who likes to get 100% synchronization on missions: a lot of the extra requirements are bugged.

For example I helped one of my drunk crew in one mission and instead of putting my arm round his shoulder and helping him that way the devs couldn't be bothered to code it in so you had to "kidnap" him.

And yet, later in the game there's a mission where you CAN escort an NPC without kidnapping her. It's fricken ridiculous that they have this coded, but they failed to use it on a couple of missions where a friendly escort makes much more sense than a kidnapping.

...a lot of the extra requirements are bugged.

Really? I've 100%ed the extra requirements with no bugs.
ok, some were hard, but all could be done.

What do you mean by bugged? They are all doable surely?

Admittedly, driving my carriage round a square drifting around 375 corners to get a perk was a bit insane.

Okay, here's an example: the second Charles D!ckens Springheel Jack mission requires that you do not touch the ground, but at one point you have to land on the railway overpass, which, in some places, the game treats as ground, so you fail the requirement.

Sure, it's doable, if you land in the right spot. But there's no telling where the right spots are - it's down to luck. It shouldn't be a case of luck determining whether you get the requirement or not - an overpass is not "the ground" - it shouldn't even be an issue. This sort of problem exists in so many of the missions, it becomes really frustrating.
