It could be that due to the fact that air warfair was more of a factor in the Pacific Theater that in Europe. This is because of the geographical nature of the two theaters. The war in Europe was mostly fought on large continents between infantry and armored forces. In the Pacific it came down to naval and air stratagies over vast areas of ocean with small islands. This is not to say that the air war in Europe wasn't important, just that it wasn't as prodominant as it was in the Pacific.

Just my opinion anyway.

Not to mention 'War in the Pacific' by Matrix Games, if you like your Strategy on a grand scale.

As an 'Uncommon Valor' player I'm really looking forward to this one. Only hope I live long enough to finish a game though...

You KNOW CFS4 is going to be shoved out the door quick as a Pacific sim to try and bury PF. Watch.

If they don't allow for online multi-player co-operative mission flying, they can shove CFS4 where the sun don't shine, as far as I'm concerned. That's what turned me off to CFS2, in just a matter of a couple of weeks of owning it.

Copperhead: For now, you and I are not supposed to talk about that.

Consider it a black-ops type thing.

I don't think Microsoft will ever shove anything out the door again after the piece of **** that CFS3 is - it was clearly a rush job and it shows.

In some ways, I think whatever they do will be irrelevant anyway. With PF and BoB in development I reckon Oleg / 1C et al are gonna just sow up the prop combat sim market.

If CFS doesnt do something with thier graphics down low it wont matter.. up high yeah.. they have decent graphics.. but even in FS2004.. if you look past the specific objecs the ground quality bites. They all have that mottled blotchy look. MS will not get one red cent of my money for a sim again for a long time. Im sorry but I dont need any open sourced sim that anybody with the time to learn can tweak. Ill take 1Cs gauranteed "same standard for all" sims any day.

MS's history of getting a product on the street then forgetting it doesn't sit well with me. They let others make add-ons for it leaving alot to be desired for gamming security as far as hackers and cheats go.
MS's version of elevator trim is ludicrus! A tiny trim tab shouldn't be able to pull a heavy Corsair out of elevator G lock in a high-speed dive lol "Gamers" ( I don't call'em pilots) utilise this screw-up in excess - One of the reasons I don't fly combat in CFS2 anymore.(We just bag traps there.)

My money is going into Pacific Fighters. If they truely improve on accuracy of flight models and graphics like they clam they are. This will truely be a thing of beauty.
