When i play Sands of time, and some other games, my audio is eventually turned off. In POP, at first i can hear everything, then something like voices go away, then only background noise is audible, and then nothing at all.
After installing older sound blaster drivers (AUDDRVPACK_L11), the problem was fixed for now.

Anyone else experiencing this problem with the newer drivers for audigy (AUD_EAX4DRV_031031)?

And besides lower the hardware acceleration bar (which produces abnormal sounds in games), is there a way to resolve this issue?

Thanks.

hi,
i also have the same problem. i had taken the game back thinking i had a bug game, came home installed the game again sure enough 5 minutes into the game boom sounds goes distorted.i have all the requirements for the game and this happens. i also took my system in to have it checked out and found nothing. where did you find your driver that it works with. or which one is that from the disc or a download. thought maybe it was also my sound system 5.1 creative labs..

I am also having a problem where I lose voices and sometimes all sound even in the cut-scenes. I am using the integrated sound on the Asus nForce2 board. Hope a fix is found soon.........
