Do graphics card manufacturers ever change the actual make-up of the chipset? I mean if I'm buying a GeForce FX 5600 128MB and one is a Pine and the other is a PNY Verto, they are still going to have the same specs, (i.e. dual 400 Mhz Ramdacs, etc., etc.), hopefully? Any light on the this subject would be much appreciated!

Hasta La Victoria Siempre!

In a word yes!

Some manufacturers use slower memory than others.

Also the quality can dictate the overclocking ability.

Best thing is to check out reviews (www.google.com (http://www.google.com) search) and make your decision based upon that and your budget.

HELLO!

It makes all the difference both in speed and quality!
Some manufacturers are better some worse.
PINE is a group of well established companies.
If u choose between those i would go for pine. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Check out reviews and anything readable at altavista.

Its well worth doing some research before u buy an expensive card.

Goodluck!

If you have a well cooled case and don't overclock it usually doesn't make any difference. If you're on the edge of the overclocking and heat envelopes, it can make a huge difference.
