Well I finally took off with the HE111H6 flew to Kerch Harbor unloaded my bombs and got a direct hit on one of the freighters got back home and landed all in one piece. Geez and it only took about 15 hours of practice to do it.
Probably no big deal to a lot of you guys but for me it was a major accomplishment. Really made this 70 year old a happy critter!!!
God I love this sim!!!

Well done Chuck!
One of the great things about FB is that it offers so many challenges that mean different things to different people.
One of my proud accomplishments was being able to take on 4 "ace" Ki-84s on full real settings-in a P-47.
Took me awhile also! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Coin shooter very nice work, hitting ships is a real pain in the @$$! Chris sir, that truly is an accomplishment with your Jug of all planes! I give you a lot of credit for being so dedicated to becoming a ace with your plane no matter the make, year or FM! It is a breath of fresh air to see people who still enjoy the game and enjoy becoming better pilots.

Grats to you both.

Great job! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/11.gif I'm still trying to sink that *&^X%$$@@ sub in the online8 sin map.I've used quite a few different planes. So far, my best is with the IL-2 T. My torp hit right in front of the conning tower and the bugger still didn't sink. He put two big holes in my wing. Dang, I love this game! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Any landing you can walk away from is a good one!

Anything that takes you 15 hours is worth some praise. Good going.

Thanks for all the encouragement guys. The sim just keeps getting better and better. I wish I could have flown in real life but I'm to old now. I was just a lowly crewchief in the 512th Fighter Interceptor Squadron from 1956 to 1959. We had F86Ds at Sinbach Air force Base in Germany.Chuck

Nice going indeed. I fly the He111 extensivly and it does take a while to get used to her, but when you do...watch out. Congrats, next thing you know you be blowing up everything in you path.

Glad somebody can hit something with the He111. I'm still working on this bomb sight thing. Usually wind up as dorsal gunner. The 2 big things I have learned flying this plane are
1) parachuting
2) I can actually land it without tearing the plane up unlike all the fighters I have flown.

S!

Nice to see that people don't simply whine, and actually enjoy the product!

Well done!

My best thing with the 111 was chasing and shooting a fighter down with the nose gunner! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif I think it was a cr.42, but it may have been something faster. Cheers.
