i am flying the battle over britain campaign so spending a lot of time in the hurri. i do not know that much about flying so i have turned off complex engine management becacue i heve not got m head round how to use it proberly. my problem is that dipping the nose the revs drop right off, sometime to a level where i have to turn off and turn on the engine to get it back up to the red area of approx 3000rpm. i had this with cem on so i turned it off thinking that it would go away, but it has'nt.
is it to do with prop-pitch? what am i doing wrong please?

One more time! You've got 114 posts and still dont know the reason for this?

The Hurricane Mk1, I-16 & I-153 all have gravity fed carburettor fuel systems, NOT fuel injection. When negative G is applied the fuel supply is reduced or can even be stopped altogether. Do NOT induce negative G, it's bad flying practive anyway because of airframe stresses. When diving, roll inverted first and pull through to maintain positive G's.

I wouldn't join any club that would have ME as member!

Well, actually the carb is flooded in the hurri.. too much fuel as opposed to "reduced supply".

But er, i thnk he gets it now.
