Hi, I've been playing FB and swooping around in my 109 for a few months and am feeling the itch to fight online. I am looking for some good servers to join and would like some recommendations.

I always play with all the 'realism' options enabled for immersion and like team play so co-op servers sound good.

Also, what voice comms do people use? When I played TFC, my team met in IRC and arranged for someone to host a Roger Wilco channel so I'm wondering if you do something similar?

I'm London based with broadband btw, not sure what the netcode is like for IL2 yet http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Probably better than TFC....

I believe most use TeamSpeak for voice (seems Ventrilo is great too).

Get ASE (http://www.udpsoft.com/eye2/index.html) or go onto hyperlobby (http://hyperfighter.jinak.cz/) to find the best servers.

I myself find WarClouds44+ or WarClouds TOH to be the best, but there are more http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

There are many different servers with settings to cater to most tastes, but I've found Warclouds to be amongst the best right now. Once the dedicated server software is made publicly available greatergreen will be back in action so stop by and say hi to us as well.

My advice is to check out a few that have the settings you're interested in and have Teamspeak client ( http://www.teamspeak.org ) installed as some will have channels available for use on their servers.
