I posted the above link so as not to
flood 56K users with photos.

As you can see there a a couple of
surviving B/C types.
Subtract S/N 42-103645 from the list
as unfortunately it's now "Beer cans".

The P-51C-10 shared the same engine as the
P-51D and was the production hot rod
untill the P-51H was produced.

While a P-51B was faster than a P-51D
depending on altitude, a P-51C-10
was faster than a "D" at ALL altitudes.

Oh yes, I added an A-36 and P-51A link.

I always thought the B/C would be more maneuverable than the D. In FB that's certainly not the case. With the 1% planes they were.
