View Full Version : Difficulty, does it go up?

I'm liking the game. No crashes so far, and I've just seen a bunch of minor bugs, nothing to worry about.
What worries me is the difficulty of the campaigns. In all the other HoMM games I played, 'Normal' meant 'challenging but doable' to me. But so far, in the case of M&MH7, it's been more like 'ROFLSTOMPAGE!'. Hell, in the first map of the first campaign I played (Wizard) I got an artifact that destroyed the supposedly epic final battle with one spell (tsunami I think it was called).
Since I've only played 2 campaign scenarios so far (Wizard 1 and Haven 1), to those who've played more than I have, does difficulty go up in subsequent maps? or should I restart in hard/hardest difficulty?

I restarted my current map on Hard and feels a bit better (at least now I lose a soldier here and there). The thing is, I'm not really an expert HoMM player. I've played and finished all the Heroes before, but I take like 400 days for maps when I'm sure good players finish them in 40 :)
