Yes - I agree - it would be a great add-on as flyable one or the other or both..

and that it is rarely mentioned in this regard too, but take heart, I have seen more than one VIP here say that work is ongoing to bring as many planes as are externally rendered as possible to flyable status.. they just need a LOT of reference material to do it.. ALL KINDS of reference material and these boards (more likely ORR or the TECH board specifically)are checked and monitored for anyone with access to REAL material for just that purpose..so?.. if you have it, let it be known.

One of the best things about FB is it isn't going away anytime soon, in spite of what a few nayposters say or imply sometimes.

There is a guy or two working to make the Me 210/410 flyable. They have run into a wall with reference material and they are trying to get some permission to have photos taken on a surviving example...we'll have to see how that progresses.

Sternjager is modelling the Me410, Another modeller is doing the cockpit but he has disappered of the radar at moment. I have been trying to get cockpit photo's to help model this aircraft but at present the aircraft is unavailable and when it is the cost is 350.

So i have contacted the smithsonian institute and now have a list of all captured documents avialabe for this aircraft so hopefully this aircraft will make it into the game.

there are quite abit cockpit photos out there, but if you are talking about acctually going out to photograph a real one, those i guess are useless.....or not.
but there are pictures. anyway its just more good news, since there are ppl already working on this. this game is sweet...... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/11.gif

i must have been an airplane in one of my previous lives

there are a lot of photo's on the web and sternjager has copies of most of them but he wanted better detailed photo's as some instruments are unique toe the 410 apparently.

I was trying to get into europes only example which i have previously been in but alas that was before il2 existed so i took no shots then. but access is not possible at present so when tohe cockpit modeller is ready i will get photostats of the cockpit from original manuals held at the smithsonian institute.

Is that the one at RAF cosford?

Yes Johan, I would like to fly them, well at least the 410, not as attracted to the 210 because of its problems with development. The 410 sounds like it was a very great twin engine bird and if it takes the good points of 110 we are now flying I would have to say it will be fun.

I really hope you guys get the 210/410, since I only fly Allied http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

They were pretty good bomber killers but easy kills for Allied fighters, historically.

I'll take an easy kill any time I can get one http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

yes it was the cosford aircraft, the only other one is in a crate awaiting restoration, but the cosford aircraft is on wheel jacks so they are not letting anyone in at present.

This is a cool aircraft, and i hope it gets in the game hence why i have been trying to help the modellers get the info they need.
