I've created a separate to the preview thread because I think it's a bit of a different area of interest than gameplay previews.

The only kind of spoilers you can find are types of activities I guess and a name of a main mission in Sequence 3. Other than that, it's just the map. Though, mind you, I don't really know what the person is saying, but I don't think there's going to be any spoilers there either.

The map looks giant, I don't think I'll be able to parkour all my way around like I did in Unity lol

It's like the Brotherhood/Revelations Templar District thing but only more developed and centralized into these gang leaders.

So 7 areas, with three guys and four girls running gangs? Huh.

I never said it did, I actually liked the addition since it was first mentioned, you're confusing me with someone else :p

I'm not a huge fan of the carriages though, so I planned in only using them when necessary, but it seems like there won't be normal horses and it's definitely too big to walk on foot. Carriages, here I come.

This looks... overwhelming.

I hope it doesnt pull an AC3 where you dont even go to half the locations to do anything remotely fun.

Oh my. Did you see the numbers of collectibles? Westminster alone has over 120 of them. The others between that and 60 or so. So with seven boroughs, we are easily looking at around 700 collectibles. And then we also know that both Assassins have their own collectibles. Is this video only covering one character? What if they both have this many??

Haha

Lets hope they don't fill it with pointless cr** like Unity...

Maybe all the time they decided not to spend on multiplayer went towards collectibles instead of singleplayer. Ubisoft- less gameplay, more collectibles

I know it's like asking for the sky to turn purple, but I wish more than aything that Ubisoft would stop putting such a gratuitously large amount of collectibles in all their games.

I mean does it really benefit anyone? Only like 0.1% of players, sad sacks like us, are actually going to try and collect everything, and even less will achieve that! So why do they keep doing it?!

(Obviously those numbers are baseless assumptions but when you look at trophies, and see that less than 40% of people actually complete the story on some of the games, the amount that catch 'em all must be super, super small)

If I was a very cynical person I would say that they are very well aware that 90% of the gamers will never collect all the collectibles and their purpose is to give gamers the false illusion that the game has more content than it actually has, but since I'm not a very cynical person I'll just believe that they want to give gamers lots of fun.

By the way, don't expect too much by way of Kenway Manor. It's not inside of the explorable areas of London. I don't expect more than Henry Green saying "Edward Kenway" once, so Ubisoft wouldn't be completely lying, but it's still not what was implied

Still a possibility. Could end up having a mission outside of London like the War Machines in Brotherhood.

There will be cities outside london afaik, I remember in one of these preview videos, it was mentioned that you only get to London on sequence 3, so it's still a possibility. They wouldn't have marked it on the map if they weren't going to use it.

Yes and I think the old lady is Jennifer Scott, not sure on the double letters for her. We know she got her Templar amulet from her!

I doubt it, the area between the Kenway Mansion and London is so small that if they include the Kenway Mansion, they'd need to include the few buildings inbetween them. It's like if the Palais in Versailles were closer to the Versailles we could explore, you'd be able to access it by just walking to it, but since it was some distance away it was it's own area. The Kenway Mansion isn't far away enough for that

I think they would. Something to hype the fans, just like saying modern day will be in the game. It's not unlike Ubisoft at all. Remember when they said Alta´r and Ezio would be often referenced in Unity, and all we got was Bellec saying Alta´r once + Masyaf and Monteriggioni in the same sentence that wasn't even 100% accurate

I don't know why but I expect we could go inside.
Perhaps it was donated to the brotherhood or the new tenant is as assassin.

I think many people set out to collect them, but give up as there as there are usually far too many and give the player no reward or incentive to get them.
