I figured I'd shamelessly ask for a few more things, despite how busy 1C/Maddox is hehe

(Forgive me Mr. Maddox, just thought I'd ask)

Mission Brief viewable in flight.
We can read the mission brief at the arming screen, but wouldn't it be handy to be able to read that same brief while flying? With so many objective oriented servers online as well as some great offline campaigns, wouldn't it be usefull to check the objectives as you fly to them?

I've already posted these before, but what the heck:

Custom linkage of cannons and MG's...give the player the ability to make the groupings more logical or to turn off unwanted weapons depending on the target attacked.
(Cannons only, no MG fire against heavy bombers for example, then turn the MG back on when fighters are encountered)

Ability to set color and number in the arming screen without having to take the historical ones only...gives more flexibility to having uniform number schemes for online squadrons.

No more ZZ+FK when flying a stuka, then Black 6 when flying a late 190 and Red 6 when flying an early 190 for example, my callsign would always be Black 6. I think alot of people would appreciate this even as trivial as it sounds.

Alrighty, I'm done being greedy thanks.

I would like to say again my appreciation for the amount of effort invested in this sim and for all the years of hardwork involved.

1C/Maddox, Salute!!

how about just trying to remember the mission objectives, or write down notes (on a piece of paper). this i think simulates more the real-life briefings which you get only at the start of the mission.

Zen , about the armament, you still have the weapon 1, weapon 2, weapon1+2. I am sure you know that. maybe you mean ability to switch off outer cannons of the FW190A variants, right? I would love it! But then again, did real pilots have so many buttons? I remember that Pokrishkin's fellow pilots would often return with cannon ammo untouched cuz the button was on the top of the stick and they had to stretch their thumbs in an incomforting manner. So P. ordered the triggers of the cannon be attached to the MG trigger=weapon 1+2 http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

About the callsign, the historical accuracy thing... bombers and all different than fighters had letter designations. And also about being the "same old Red 6", man, have you heard about a thing called counterintelligence? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Some things are worth fighting for.
And most of them wear miniskirts...

All good points http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I ask only from a gamers perspective I guess...I know that these requests are not specifically oriented at historical accuracy, but they would add to the game play imho.

There are lots of other things I would rather see the time spent on naturally, like a complex DM for the FW, better gunsight view, corrected P47 rollrate etc...but since those have been mentioned extensively I won't go into it.

Sometimes little things like the features I requested are easy to implement and go a long way toward making the game more enjoyable...you never know unless you ask. Realistically this will end up never being done, but I feel better having asked for it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

And as for counter intelligence --- heck yes I have heard of it, love it, can't stress enough how important it is in real and sim warfare http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

You may now call me Number 1. My wingman is also Number 1. When you and your wingman link up with us, I will call you Number 1 and your wingman Number 1 also hehe

Well, just for starters:

1. Please stop the disappearing airplanes thing.

2. Please give me the ability to taxi to the runway from anywhere on the airfield

If you typically use "Weapon 1+2" trigger, you can turn off the outer wing cannons in the Fw-190A with the "Gunpods On/Off" key, even if you are not carrying gunpods.
