How is it possible to fly the I-16 without pulling negative G and resulting engine-cut?

This happens for me right after take-off, frustrating.

Just one little push forward on the joystick and thats it!

Well i am THE I-16FAN/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif .

you should let the auto pilot take off for you.
and when you sall dive just roll the plane all over and pull back on the stick.

Of course it is possible...i.e, when you have to dive, just don´t push the stick, but instead roll inverted and pull the stick, so to avoid neg Gs.

It is! When you hear your engine dying release the stick and roll. Then pull the stick , this should let the fuel flooding the carburetor. Engine will talk happy again.

Troll?

Troll is a Norwegian creature and live in the forests.

Since I am Norwegian i have seen trolls but none of them using flight-sim !

Hmmm, Trolls in Norway, lemme think what they could be. In forests (check), bully (check), Drooling (check), Usually seen during winters (check). If they are also using skies, THEN I've seen them too in TV. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

hi,

You have to throttle down before you
make a turn. This is also when you have to dive.

I only see trolls when I'm drinking.......

And we have them in Sweden too by the way!

Ah...my favorite plane. On takeoff, switch to autopilot if the engine starts to cough and sputter. Those AI guys never have that problem. In normal flight, to prevent the problem, roll rather than dip your nose to see ahead and dive inverted if you want to lose altitude quickly. Again, if the engine stars to sputter, hit autopilot quickly as sson as you notice it and he'll fix things for you.

Honestly, I dont see why you can't start the engine again with the prop windmilling, but that's just the way things are in the FB world.

Learn to fly with out pushing forward on the stick.
IMO it's the best way.
