I'm moving over the next 10 days or so and my phone was cut off today. But my DSL still works!!! That's great!

I love my DSL.

That sounds like an ideal setup. Make the most of the silence, it may never come round again.

Yeah, the phone hasn't rung at all tonight! It's like all the telemarketers in the world are dead!

We keep our phone turned off. Cuts down on the chatter.

Funny how that works. They say you need the phone to get the service yet it works while the phone line is dead. Its the same with cable, you need cable tv to use the cable modem, yet it works fine if the cable tv goes out or vica versa.
Just a way to bundle needless crap that you dont need and charge you more.

Yep, I have cable modem without cable tv. They come out once a month to check my connection to see if I'm stealing cable tv service. No interest in watching a box, but I need a fast internet connection.

Cool, I hadnt checked in a while and now it says they will do it for a 6.99 a month access fee rather than paying for the tv.
Goodbye cable tv.

i just saw on the news the government is starting a national list of ppl the telemarketers cant contact. u can sign up online(didnt catch where) and its supposed to stop most telemarketers...wonder if it will really work

edit: its the national do not call registry. u can sign up for it on the federal trade commission site www.ftc.gov (http://www.ftc.gov)

its supposed to stop 80% of the calls

This happend to me once and I thought it was great. Until a few days later my DSL went out as well, of course I ran to pay the bill the next day and had my phone immediately switched back on, the bad news? My DSL line had to be completely re-configured and hooked up and ended up taking close to 3 weekes to get it back up and running. Needless to say I learned my lesson. But since your moving I guess it really doesn't matter. Mine lasted for about a week before it got cut off.

Wow, besides the powerful message Mutt, your sig pic is also an optical illusion. The slanty lines make it look as if the pic is leaning down on the right.

I had to look a couple of times to see if you intentionally leaned it, before I realized the lines were throwing off the perspective./i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
