Hi, from all the advice that I recieved, I went ahead a bought one of these beauties from ebay. But, I have a slight problem...

I can't get the force feedback and the centering spring to work at the same time. If I disable force feedback (in the game, via the switch in "input settings") the centering spring becomes enabled, but no FFB. If I switch force feedback on, I get the opposite result, force feedback is enabled, but the stick's limper than Bob Dole before viagra.

I'm running Windows XP pro, with IL-2 AEP, latest version (2.01).

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you using windows driver or 4.0 Sidewinder software that came with the stick?

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

I'm using the sidwinder 4.0 drivers.

I did a search earlier, and tried the method of uninstalling the software, and using the stick "as is". This had no effect ingame.

I did realize just now, that when I installed the stick, I plugged it in first, before installing the drivers. I'm going to try a system restore and try it again.

Nope, nothing I tried worked so far.

Problem fixed. I'm not sure if it was reinstalling the software, or doing a system restore and installing the software first, and then the stick.
