Well, I went online for the first time and had a ball! Was shot down a bunch of times but actually nailed a Frank with my Mustang and a Frank and 190 with my P-40E.

Learned a few lessons too. Most of the fighting was below 1000 meters. The Mustang really does not seem cut out for that type of combat. One guy (Bong ?) did a great job in the Russian bi-plane. He flew circles around my Mustang.

The 'Stang did much better at a bit higher altitude in a long chase against the Frank.

Had great fun. Will be back in the air tonight.

let me be the first to welcome you geetarman.

Its a blast to fly online and the most fun I've had is when you start figuring out the strengths of your plane and using it against the weaknesses of the other.

Welcome in the club geetarman. As you probably have noticed it is much more challenging to fly online against real people than off-line against AI. You will find that your skills will only benefit of this.

Welcome and see you online.

Thanks for the welcome! I'll see you in the skies.

F19- you're right - big difference! By the way, I got a few "S!" last night - how do I reply in text to respond in kind? I was smashing the keys to return the salute and nothing happened. lol!

I'm sorry, geetarman, but I gotta warn you!

There's really a bad, bad thing about online-playing:

IT's SO DAMNED ADDICTIVE! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

No, really I mean it. Once you flew a few times against human pilots, playing offline becomes quite boring. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

Welcome to the club!

I hope, we'll fly together sometime!

Good Luck 6 Good Hunting!
