I hope that implies recommended requirements is below gtx 780. :) Wait for the official system requirements. We just have a release date so far. I am pretty sure they can afford to make a bad port this time around

I can live happily with anything of 30 fps or over.... I am not certain any game improves above x amount of fps.... most games I've played previously ran 38 fps up to 59 fps with vsync always... more fps can make racing games smoother... just not better.

Besides I would imagine a lot of people trying to run games on 4k would barely exceed a 30fps average when moving the settings up to the top and some guys I played co-op in Unity averaged 22 to 28 FPS on systems below minimum spec and still enjoyed the game.

If it does release locked at 30fps it may enable people to still appreciate it on a system close to minimum spec... and considering it is bigger than Unity.... that's great, more people playing AC games.:D

For pc gamers offical pc release date is November 19 Kovalev tells us that "PC requirements are still being finalized, and said that there will be no locks on the game as far as framerate and resolution goes. The recommended system requirements will target 1080p and 30 FPS."

So 30 fps on GTX 780 (Unity recommended GPU) is good news? Ok....

So 30 fps on GTX 780 (Unity recommended GPU) is good news? Ok....

Unity was spec'ed in a panic, though. They knew the whole game was troubled, so they announced a crazy spec list to cover it.

We also don't yet know what settings they're suggesting we can use (which could well be for a more sensible 680/770/950-level card this time).

In the past consoles get the game first the pc owners in usa and other places then uk (hooray) and europe and other places a day or maybe 2 later and possibly a 3rd release date for other regions... My problem is ... I struggle with wanting to know how amazing it is without spoiling any surprises be our release date. 8^)

Sorry this is off topic... but

30fps is the TARGET for recommended requirements (not confirmed) no fps locks will be put in place (not confirmed but I will happily assume this to be true)
Given the additional size of Syndicate compared to Unity I expect some things to be affected and trading FPS in exchange for keeping specs lower is ok by me... it will hopefully allow more people to play it... and as an AC fan I want as many people as possible to play it and see how good AC is....

The specs may be similar to Unitys requirements... but people played Unity on far lower specs (not at a level that Ubi, you or I might consider acceptable) Syndicate may well run equally as well or even slightly better... plus I do not know whether windows 10 or DX12 will have an impact... Anykeyer would know more than most people.

Back on topic.... can I have Syndicate now ? ;)

The team in Kiev is working to accommodate the myriad PC setups as they optimize the game. Kovalev tells us that PC requirements are still being finalized, and said that there will be no locks on the game as far as framerate and resolution goes.

I'm expecting my pc to run a few more fps but I will not be checking or running any fps counter... 30fps is fine for me

Just look at Steam: Available: 19 November; This game will unlock in approximately 1 month, 3 weeks, and 5 hours.

Also, remember, screen size is also important. The specs are based on the screen resolution of 1920 x 1080. (atm about the most popular screen). Running on smaller screens will give you higher fps, while having a larger screen will lower the fps. Unity's 780 for recommending was also based on the 1920 x 1080 resolution. If you have a 4K screen on a 780, your fps will cripple.

People just think apparantly all screen sizes are same perfomance, but it's not. The bigger the screen, the more work your CPU and GPU get.

Let alone the guys who were crying that there GTX 780 couldnt run two or three monitors.

Nvidia has a full guide for graphics on Syndicate, explaining which settings you need with which set up (and will be also doing a guide for Syndicate): http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides/assassins-creed-unity-graphics-and-performance-guide

Thanks G4Q :D

I always like the nvidia interactive comparisons... clicking on HBAO+ vs SSAO makes me realise that I don't prefer a setting just because it is supposed to be better... and the interactive pictures with the slider is the best and quickest way to compare. I take a little time at the start of a game and get it looking how I like it and the options are there (not just to be maxed out) but to give us a personal preference... effects may suit some games better than others and in Unity I didn't find TXAA nicer for me... the same with HBAO+ .
