Fighting Flattops

This is one of my favorite games of all time.
It brings all the headaches and hardships of operating in this theater of operations.

everyone should play this game then come back here and start incorpating the ideas into this game.
It would be really fun to play this Flighting Flattops with Pacific Fighters side by side.

This would bring Pacific Fighters up to a whole new level of play.
Try it then make your comments.
Just Thinking!?!?

I hope you at least tried the game Luthor.
You do need something to control movements of the ships. Plus it would allow time for seach to take place.
Do you realize the size of a map needed just to fly from Rabual to Guadalcanal.
The FMB is great for recreating air engagments that took place down to the finest detail.
The ship movements over say 1-3 days would be on the hour not minutes.
The combined two games are a perfect match up to campaigning off carriers,TFs,fleets etc .

The carrier is King now ,not the planes. I would assume online games with CV vs CV . The takeoff and landin and arming speeds(turn around time) become very important be land, sea or CV deck for good battles to take place . When an CV is attacked there should be no landing allowed and takeoffs very limited.
Take off & landing should also adjust for CV battle damage . Bottom line at least tweak the air fields.
Just Thinking?!?!.
It will be interesting to see the Pacific. My father was on the Bunkerhill with Torpedo Eight as a mechenice, gunner in TBFs.
OH, You won't have a extra copy lying around any where by chance would you ? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif 7
