Sounds exciting...I'll be sure to drop by in my spare time and lend a hand in the airwar. Sounds like a unique concept...

I have no idea how your maps are setup but try for some more immersion than your standard DF server and drop in some flak, parked aircraft and vehicles, tree's, and targets around the map. But yeah...sounds good!

One worry...nobody will want to be the underdog. What advantage do they have that evens the odds?

Well being the underdog has it's sdvantage, as your victory dose taste a littel sweeter, I ahve implemented new step's, HQ attacks and Shipyard assult's , these are otherways to attain victory, The dffrance in teh sides is not alot , a few planes adn pilot's , Usualy only as much as 2 or 3 more ground targets needed to be destroyed by the UD's.

Merc and I flew UD on SUnday when teh HL was down, it was a squad event, adn it was alot fo fun, the pace is just there, if you hav e4 guy's or more in the room, * is an absolute minimum though if you wish to be certin to attain mission objectives before tiem runs out, but 2 on 2 in pitched battle can pull it iff, we go tthe Stage 3 before there was a problem with eth map cycle, I corrected it for now, I am sure more Minor bug's will creep up.

I am goign to add ground targets as teh maps progress , I have been working on them each nite, but with 25 map's it is alot for one guy to do, and I jsut odnt hav ethe tiem to explaine what I need in ther eto get help jsut yet, though I will post soon in a hope that I can get community map's in ther eaw well, I think it would be cool if ther was alot of variety in there.
There is alot of flack, AS I have not completly dissallowed Vulching, jsut I dont like it, but it is war adn as teh tiem ticks away you are goign to become more desprate, esp in teh later stages.

I am hopeful that it will be running at 100% by end of mext week, at teh rate I am goign it should be sooner, but I may take a break to rethink plane match up's.

I am not wanting to ah vehuge flight list's as for each flyable you need a static AC, All those Static object increase load tiem for map's.

I have also included littel history briefs in teh form of a news article, to reflect teh War climate at hand, though it dose not YET reflect teh map about to be played, I think it helsp for teh Immersion aspect, kind of what is going on in the world, I took these from actual new accounts, and am working on perhaps in the future writing my own, but for now...

I still need to clean up the welcoem area a bit, teh private briefs have teh tournament concept as a foot not at teh bottom, and your current missioni objectives as of map start, one thing that is nice , is that, so far most have stayed through the map change, but if no on e is in teh server it stays empty, funny, everyone stays later than they want and noone wants to be first to leave , for only being effective 3 or so day's It is doing well when it dose, ( usualy 9 am - 11 am EST.)

anyhow not sure if I got off topic, or answerd your question... clearly enough, I hope That I have.

BTW for the moment I have named the server

World@War!!!!

you can find it in Hypper lobby

I have alterd teh First map, Neutral start, The 2 armies now have diffrent plane set's, There are static AC at all teh airfields in use, this help's for the return flight's home, and as well for things to shoot at when alone in teh server. AAA guard against Vulchers, Ther is a HQ objective for both sides, you can win teh map now by defeating 2 objectives, be it 20 planes , 20 pilot's , 10 AAA or 10 wagons, ( wagons are teh triggers for the HQ destruction.)

I alterd teh time of day to earlt morning, and there is jsut enough ground fog for that this is war feeling.

I flew it jsut long enough to test teh AAA defence, if you like flack you will liek this one, ther eis plenty spread out enough to protect it from single bomb drop's.

The Bombers are unballanced as 1941 only has teh TB3 for the allies, I guess teh IL2 as well , vs teh He 111. at any rate hte plane load out's are ballanced as best as I could do, I will adjust them along the way,

S!~
