Food for thought, and hopefully Ubisoft sees this. Use destiny as a template for multiplayer, allowing for any player to join you at any point. Make a game where you can choose which side to choose, templars vs assassins, add some character creation to solve the constant change in people like tissue paper. Make a story where it reflects one side and the other but a main goal towards the end, a linear path if you will, that both sides get to something about precursors and end it ambiguously like the movie inception. Make co-op or multiplayer points in the story like destiny where people of opposite sides try to reach the objective before you. Bring back dens or locations to fight over as well as calling your assassins. Make online sea warfare, defend your territory, add vehicles or catapults or torrents in various locations. Add something modern day to help boost the storyline and that could be someone you Ubisoft made up like Desmond but in the Animus/Helix create your own ancestor. Explain what modern day precursors mean now that Desmond saved the world. Explain sages and the ones who came before in depth. Explain!!! Or else you'll lose people on a repetitive game course, I really the series but offer up more than technical in game gifts like carriages and pulley systems. Bring back some good ideas like the hook blade and parachutes.

We are very grateful that you have taken the time to post about this, however due to complex legal issues over copyright that can arise – and – the writing team have some very precise ideas of where the stories may go, we are unable to use them in the games, but we would like to take the time and thank you personally for your interest in the Assassin’s Creed series.

Huh!
So if we mention ideas here they can never be used in an AC game.
....
..
In that case, FEUDAL JAPAN ! <---- joke* don't EVER make this"

Unless its actually done well.

I don't think this is what he meant. It's because the OP mentions other games like destiny. If they cannot create something based on what the fans say then it's copyright for them to make the customization system in ACU since fans have been asking for it for years.
