I don't know whether it's a bug but when the command for example Red 1 Return to base immediately shows up, the voice only says Red 1 Over? I don't know whether or not its an issue Ive tried reinstalling to see if that helps.

Anyone know if there is a way to fix this or why it does this. When you go into the voice pack folder and click on the different voices and what they say there seems to be more options than the voice playback gives during gameplay. Is there a way to incorporate more of the voice messages into the game? There seem to be some that are never used.

Any suggestions

Many thanks

Hello Bluesman69uk,

I am the person responsible for the RAF voice pack. Actually I tried to find the exact call that you mentioned but I am unable to find it on any of the 9 voice actor scripts. Could you please check again and type exactly what the pilot reply back to you?

In regards to more calls exist than what is being used, this is more on Olegs side of things. His simulator makes the calls to which voice recording to use, I can only assume that he has more calls for future use? That is something that we have to ask Oleg personally to see if it is possible to tweak the sim to use the rest and let me tell you, there are much more calls that people are aware of!

Thanks for the reply. What I find strange is Ive looked in the voice pack and it seems to be the same voice as Actor 1. When playing a mission in say QMB the red writing appears on the screen for example RED 1 return to base immediately but all that comes from the speech is RED 1 over? It seems to miss part of it out? But when trying to locate this playing it back through Media player Voice actor 1 seems ok? The other weird thing was even though I was in RAF campaign ocassionally I would get the American voice saying Return to base immediately?? I dont know whether some of the sound files have become corrupted. Ive tried deleting them and re installing but it still seems to happen.

Dont know if reinstalling FB might clean it up?

Any suggestions ?

Thanks again and as far as the GB voice pack goes I think it is great! I especially love the background sound of the bullets hitting.

Regards

I'd noticed this too, but I'd turned the subtitles off so I didn't know what was missing.

I reckon it's a mis-spelled file name.
In the actor1 folder,
Try renaming return_to_base_immediatelly.wav
as return_to_base_immediately.wav

Should fix it.

Thanks Mike for your advice.

I have renamed that file changing the spelling. It seemed to do the trick! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Good catch Mike!

Will definitelly have that in mind when re-making the RAF voice pack for separate use!

Did not know how that one escaped my spell checker!

Thank you.
