I keep hearing mention of all sorts of new planes on the horrizons, etc- one of which being the B-17. However, after a cursory search I couldn't seem to find out if this plane will be flyable (they doing cockpits?).

I was also wondering when we could hope to see this plane? thanks.

Unforunately,I don't think the B-17 will be flyable. It would simply take too many man-hours to build a cockpit and all the gunner stations. I'd love to see it flyable, but I ain't holding my breath.....

not unless the modelers work together, ais are a waste all that modeling time to build a great model, oleg should give in and let all ais be flyable with no cockpit in no cockpit servers but he said he wont, a very bad choice of the 1c team I must admit such a waste. The thing i dont like either is they dont use fm data only they go by books writen by pilots which alot are fiction and propaganda, best way for fms is naca tests and guncamera footage

Would be nice to have a bomber to fly besides a 1939 TB3 http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Dunno..

Met a B17 pilot this weekend though.. Said he had 25k hours! without ever getting shot down or a bad landing..

I met him when I was trailering back my FW190 replica...
