Wiley's right, although the carrier clashes were of strategic importance during the opening phase of the Pacific campaign, it was the 1943 battle of attrition, a(n is)land campaign that was decisive in terms of halting and reversing the Japanese.

I really hope that we'll have good coverage of the Southwest Pacific. This was the Asian equivalent of the eastern front in terms of air combat.

I personally look forward to the P40 vs. Ki 61 battles in New Guinea, and of course the AVG in China/Burma.
