I have read that allied pilots could se when
LW pilots used MW boost because they leaved gray exhaust trails behind them.
anybody know of this?

Yeah, some mustang pilots recalled this when they tried to chase a Ta 152 on the deck. They said they saw a different coloured smoke and that the Ta left them standing. It was no more than Kurt Tank himself flying http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

In that much talked about comparison between Robert Johnson's P47 and a Spitfire he mentions smoke pouring out of the Spit's exhausts as it climbed after him. So it might happen to several kinds of fighters.

Some pilots saw blueish trails from German fighters when they engaged WEP.

exactly but I thought it was greyish
If this is the case, than it should be implemented as it will give you
some important info on your opponent

Think would add performance penalty sicen we would have half of AC leaving trails in this case....

You aalied pilots do not need this info. If we are fighting.. we are using boost (very rare exceptions like in dives)

If brute force does not solve your problem... you are not using enough!
