hello bear,

i just want to ask you, if you and your teammates ( tuskegee airmen) like to fly a mission with/against our team ?
we all are "real " german , but still nice guys http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif .
we would fly as intercepter and you and your team have to escort a group of b17 bombers.
playing as a coop .
i know, we have not the same timezone, but would it be possible to fly it at a sunday ?
i hope, you understand my question right.
you are a nice guy so i guess we can have some fun, together.
i also want to show my respect for the black american people, especially for the tuskegee airmen, and for the friendship between our nations too.
interest ?

oh btw. we are flying with difficult game settings( some guys call it full real http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif )

Sure that would be great...although there are only a few of us on lately with jobs and family stuff... I will talk to my buddies in the 361st and see if they want to lend a hand. I am working job #2 tonight but I will check back when I get off. Thanks for asking.....

Bear,

You can always count on your friends in the 361st. As long as it is acceptable to Broad, we would be able to lend a hand to the 99th. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Yes indeed lots of fun times with the TRT_ fellas in CFS 1 !.. If you still have the old link that sure would be a real treat with the old music. That website "warps" you back into the 1940's with its authentic feel and is just fine work... Class act I still remember it 2 years later.

No offense to you Boandl, but hey, what's all that noise here? What kind of tone is that? Yeah, it's a sad time when the German-American friendship has to be remimded on. You feel the need to do that? Something special, huh? Ain't that worrying? You mean, the Americans are not that stupid like the news tell me every other day?
Well, how come only so many Germans think well of the US and what they are doing? They must be wrong, because they are few, like 15%...can't be a majority of Germans can ever be wrong, right?
And what's up with this guy? Prolly is a "Neocon" agent in Germany, what else?

http://www.kas.de/db_files/dokumente/die_politische_meinung/7_dokument_dok_pdf_2273_1.pdf

But seriously, this guy is from the "Konrad Adenauer Stiftung". You know, Adenauer, the German chancellor during a time in which the Germans still knew by whom and by what means it was achieved that they could go to elections again.

And pls check out your PM.

Regards
heartc

Heart,

Boanl, I feel the need to appologise for the words of Heart_C, either he doesn't understand your post or he is trying to pick a fight. Personally I think his head may be stuck in some dark recess... Your post was courtious and accepted in the spirt of friendship that was intended. Peace to you friend.

Boandl: I think you need to click on your sig, and then check out your profile, where you should find the PM part, too.

Timex, when you feel the need to apologize for me, I feel the need to tell you not to get involved into something you do not understand. And my post was not meant as offense to Boandl, like I already said in the beginning (and I mean what I say, too), but quite the opposite.

I was hoping you were still online. I really don't see where Boandl did anything offensive. Your post on the other hand seems aggressive and challenging. Perhaps that was not your intent but I respectfully ask you to choose your words a little more carefully. There are too many here that are trying to pick a fight. If that is not you, then you have my sincere appology.

Hey Crip... you remember those times huh? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Me too... loads of fun. I'm STILL trying to get the rest of the TRTs to come over here. The only one who did was Eagle...who came over here and started the 361st. We go back a ways... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Heart I dont know if there is something you know that I dont but your injection of such negativity into this thread is uncalled for even if there was some dark "alterior motive" to Boand's post. I have had dealings with Boand before...none of them unpleasant... so I have no problem accepting his "challenge" in the spirit in which it was given. From all accounts I have read the Luftwaffe had a great deal of respect for the Schwatze Vogelmenshun (Not too sure about the spelling...LOL) as they came to call The Tuskegee Airmen. Fortunately the war is behind us all now and we all can go to bed at night and live to fly another day.

Yes, it was aggressive. Not towards Boandl, but towards the current German-US relationship, which had an influence on how Boandl wrote his posting. Again, this is not an accusation against Boandl, but merely unsatisfaction, that when I look at the post, I'm sure no one had written it like that some years back. Maybe you understand now. If not, well, then it's ok, toohttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif.

Thank you Heart. I believe I have a much better understanding of where you are coming from. Though I would never be so presumptious as to give advice to someone I have never met, let me tell you how I have learned to approach these matters. First off, if someone is trying to communicate in (American) English with me but is not from here, they may not have a fluent grasp of the language and therefore I give them the benefit of the doubt. If I feel it is needed I will ask for clarification. That is usually all that is needed. Again, I am not trying to preach to you but I hope it may be of some benefit. "S" to you friend.

Point taken... what we have to remember is, while we are citizens of our respective nations WE are NOT the nations..... I see where you are coming from now though.... I try to look at things individually. I have been lumped together enough times in my life to know that a group, neighborhood or nation does not an individual make. I have a great deal of admiration and respect for 98% of the people I have met here... the other 2% no longer come here so the point is moot.

Oh my, no one understood me I think. I did not attack YOU. I was (again) angry about the situation. Instead, because of what you wrote, I figured you might think just like that:

quote:

i tried my part to make it better

, which is how I think, too, and thought you might have interest in the link I sent you via PM, because the link offers another perspective on US actions than most of the rest of our German media.

Why is that? I think not.

hello gents,
bearcat what do you think, how many player are in your team ?
if we fly it as an dogfight, but of course with a mission-goal, and copper and his team would fly the b 17 , then maybe we have :
6 escortfigher ?
4-6 bombers ?
6 intercepter ?

is it ok ?
