hello!

Oleg and co have taken steps towards preventing cheats for the future.
In my opinion they have gone too far by making an anticheat that analyzes your hardware.

Ofcourse it will work in a lab enviorment were
new computers are tested but there are so many
different brands nad types of hardware that problems are bound to occur.

A perfect example is the sound hardware checking to prevent sound cheats.
Why use that anticheat in the first place if its according to Oleg too expensive for a user to use that cheat. (soundcard modding)

Trying to stop hardware cheating is a bad idea.
There will always be simple cheats that people use for example : increasing gamma (cheat or not? different opinions)
Making all the russian skins bright yellow and axis skins bright red (nothing to do with game code but I consider it to be a small cheat)

anyone have opinions?
Oleg your input is very welcome.

have fun cya up there!

I think you just partially right.
But proper hardware checking is inside the sim from the release...

We simply like fair online and never cheat ourselves if we play ourselves. Its why mny players are better then we ourselves... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

thanks for your input oleg.
I wonder if there are any possible cheats for modifying graphics drivers to see through mountains and more?

other games have had trouble with open_gl drivers.

So who is your best "In office" pilot? Do you guys ever fly against each other? I would love to see some tracks of your in-office dogfights!

I think with such drivers the game simply crashes.
And if it is, really with such cheat we will not fight. I can say you for sure that it is almost impossible with manufacture made drivers.

Its definately great that there is such a serious and concerted effort to ensure that we play games that are fair and even balanced.

Obviously people are going to try and find the edge of what they can do but unlike in some games where I've seen massive cheating (back in the Battlezone days I saw people build entire bases in a second and kill everyone in the game with nukes) this game remains an enjoyable experience online!

I agree with you icefire.
There will always be cheaters in every game.
A game is always surrounded by rules that some people think can be broken.

But i think cheaters are the worst loosers because they know their flaws but cant admit to them http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

have fun and cu up there!
