since last patch planes explode on the ground really easliy, sometimes even a gentle landing can make u ksplode http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif. isit possible to make the planes stronger when they hit the deck? same for pilot, he often seems todo die when irl u would roll and survive http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

one other strange thing is fuel tank fires, several times online ive seen or its happened to me that ALL the fuel tanks ingite and burn. in tb3 ppl shooting left wing, then both wings are ablaze http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif.
oh and i think its impossilbe to get out of cr42 flatspin and there is still no stuka D5 correct void http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

I thought I noticed the planes being more touchy on belly landings or approaches where in past patches you would have busted the undercarriage. Now instead of it collapsing the plane explodes. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Anyone else?

You have my support...brother http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Yeah Ive noticed that too, same with the random fires, especially on ships. While it is a nice touch to see ships ablaze, I dont think that when i drop a bomb on the bow of a ship the fire should ignite in the stern...

In fact I think it´s good that belly landings are harder now, it requests skill to make ur plane to ground now. It was too easy before I think!

Wow, thought it was just me. Been taking various Migs out for a spin and everytime I'm forced to land roughly I simply explode on contact no matter the speed I'm going. With the P-40M in v2.0 I could land very hard,IE wind up losing all wings, rudder, elevators, heck even the entire tail section, basically having every part that could fall of my plane fall off, and I would beable to walk away no prob. Now I can't

belly landings where easier for most planes

Example: When Yugoslavia purchased its fleet of Bf109Es in 1939 and 1940, when first two planes arrived one landed on gear, second made an intentional belly landing to show Yugoslavian pilots that belly landings are easy...

Just a thought..

In reality, there must be much difference, are you belly landing on airstrip or just on the ground. Second one might really be hard.

By the way, in Il2 gear landing on the ground is too easy. Just imagine, what might happen to landing gear, if plane lands on speed 100 mph on the bumpy surface (ground). But it has not still got in the game.

"one other strange thing is fuel tank fires, several times online ive seen or its happened to me that ALL the fuel tanks ingite and burn. in tb3 ppl shooting left wing, then both wings are ablaze"

Hello,

I only have IL2FB 1.22 so it may not apply to IL2ACE. Every time I shoot a Ju52's right fuel tank from behind with machine guns, it is always the left fuel tank that ignites. If I keep shooting, the right tank may then also ignite.

When I shoot off its wing from the root with cannons, the poor Ju52 usually goes down. A couple of times, though, its crew jumped, but it went into a steady turning climb on its remaining two engines and one wing.

When I shoot off the Ju52's fin and rudder, in some cases it goes down but in some cases it flies on with a crazy side slip angle (like 30 to 45 degrees) but maintains altitude.

One time I shot off the right landing gear of the Ju52 and I was really impressed with the damage modelling (despite a small flaw). It landed normally, then as it slowed down, the right wing tip came down, hit the ground and the plane veered off the runway to the right. The right propeller hit the ground but kept spinning (through the ground), while the centre propeller didn't hit anything but stopped and the blades were bent back.

Nothing serious here, just some amusing bugs when goofing off with helpless Ju52s http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I ever want to say that Pilots die to easliy when they hit the Ground with Parachutes !

It is a flaw in game physics, which undercounts (or not even counts, what is more likely) fuselage side resistance. It was in previous versions (1.22) and it seems it will be so in PF.
